These products are part of a project done by MR.STIR Architect + Planner. These products are created with supervision by the leading architect and urban planner. The showcasing of these products are sections of the presentation for Breda University of Applied Sciences.
This is a landscape integrating project. Due to the relocation of the dyke the development area will lay within the river dykes. Legislation in the Netherlands prohibits houses to be in danger of flooding and must either be protected by dykes or lay on top of a terp. For this area, it meant that the houses located here had to be removed and an opportunity for redevelopment came to be.
A design for the housing that is proposed within this development plan has already been created by MR.STIR Architect + planner. The challenge is to connect and integrate the properties of these houses within this complex area whilst creating a garden for the families that will be living in these houses. The integration must entail the history, stakeholders, environment and be later customisable for an exact landscape plan that fits the homeowners.
To reach the planning desk research and field research is necessary to collect all data needed.
PROJECT SETUP
First, an inventory will be made containing all the data. From this data analysis can be made and conclusions can be made that lead to a mission/concept. From these mission and concept building stones, several sketches can be created. From these sketches, the final design can be created. At last, the products for presentation to the client can be made.
